My childhood memories of his songs and playing with puppies just always seem to go together.
You know, just sweet memories of days gone by.

His weekly variety show on TV was a staple at our house as I grew up. Kinda like Bonanza and Walt Disney. He will be sorely missed.

Yes, same here, his voice will always be connected with good family times, no matter how dysfunctional the other 23 hrs may have been, his hour was fun and relaxing.

I wonder what the next generation coming, will have to look back on as they reflect better/simpler times in their lives?
Like rap music, one can't imagine any of that crap will ever be considered as golden oldies, but rather a time to be forgotten.

Moon River is perhaps my favorite song of all time.  While terrific just by itself, I feel as Solar does, it takes me back to a happy place.  His voice is damn near perfect.
