Green Inferno; Definitely NOT Politically correct...

This movie was not good enough to make it into theaters in the U.S. but it's making the rounds of things like Netflix and RedBox.
Anyone who saw Apocalypto will understand the subject. Also, the great anti-AGW (global warming) book by Michael Crichton titled "State of Fear" has a lot of scenes like the ones in this movie in it as part of the sub-plot. See, the infamous leftist/alienist Myth of the Noble Savage often cited by idiots who believe that primitive cultures are "better" than technological cultures is absolute BS.

The only known case of supposedly "peaceful, non-violent, harmonious authochthonous culture" turned out to be a fraud - the "author" faked all of the photos and videos and artifacts and made up the whole thing trying to get a grant and make a living off the academic system - and it almost worked. The reality is that without exception, every non-technological culture around the world has been almost immeasurably more brutal and savage than technological ones.  ALL OF THEM. In fact, there is a sociological axiom which states that the lower on the technology scale a culture/society is, the more brutal and amoral they tend to be.

In Green Inferno, a group of ecology-protesters sneak into a Peruvian jungle to infiltrate a logging company and shut-down an industrial foresting project extending into dense jungle in a river valley. On the way back from their adventure, they crash and are chased by some "noble savages" who have the "alternative lifestyle" of killing and eating people ( not necessarily in that order).

WARNING: This is really very much like a "reality show" and a historical dramatization of real events. The brutality of cannibals is almost beyond comprehension and must be seen to be believed. What is truly disturbing is that virtually all of the events portrayed in the film actually took place in history, though likely not at the same time. It's both a cultural lesson and a history lesson.

My only complaint is that the filmmakers seemed to chicken out at the last minute and instead of making it a 100% indictment of the bleeding heart ecoparanoids and their detachment from reality, tried to spin it a different way ( probably hoping that it would have a better chance at wide release). But even that is worth putting up with because 95% of the movie is a strong indictment of green-ecologically-minded flakes of the far left and their stupidity.

I have to admit that at several points I was cheering for the cannibals, despite their brutality. Anyone who has ever wanted to see a bunch of leftists get what they so richly deserve will enjoy this movie. But be warned - the special effects are EXTREMELY REALISTIC, especially the scenes of cannibalism and torture-murder. Not for the squeamish or the women-folk( unless they like that sort of thing).
Note that it's done by the same people who did "Hostel" and "Cabin Fever". 'Nuff said.

If only we could parachute algore into that valley alas!!

Captain Planet on steroids.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about that horribly ludicrous attempt at portraying capitalism as evil and ecoterrorism as good.

If they wanted to be realistic, the Planeteers would have all been disciples of Ted Kaczynski and Naom Chomsky, Bill Ayers, the Weather Underground and been involved in terrorism.

Ted Kaczynski's deranged anti-capitalist manifesto could well have been the source text that the Captain Planet script was based upon (everybody who drills for oil is greedy monstrous and evil).

That's what we get in the 21st century - murderous, fanatical anti-capitalist Marxist tyranny with a "family-friendly image". That series reminds me of the cartoon the muzz came out with encouraging Arab children to "murder Jewish pigs" with little pig dolls for the children on the shows to slash and stab joyfully.

No doubt some day an ecoparanoid ELF terrorist will cite having watched those programs as part of their legal defense in their murder trial for firebombing Humvee dealerships, forestry company tractors, and for murdering corporate executives with letter-bombs.
