I like simple movies with exceptions. The Expendables and Charles Bronson type movies are examples. Amazon Prime make searches easy. Not into sci-fi but there may be one or two off the wall films below.  Bored with the news, movies are a respite. Two recent movies you'll find interesting. 'Northmen - A Viking Saga' and 'Black Death' both adventure with a touch of religion from those distant times. Below are lots more. All fascinating. A few are kinda deep or odd. They may even change you just a bit. Enjoy and add your favorites.

'Night Hunter' Thriller Movie

'A Dark Place'  the lead actor is amazing

'The Next Three Days' Suspense

'Being There' - perfect political movie, a gardener who accidentally has a chance to be president. book is excellent too

'Focus' - glasses and bigotry - great book but movie matches - see it

'Boxing Helena' - a bizarre love story about a love so strong he cuts her up and boxes his love - see it

'Koyaanisqatsi' - visually astounding stuff I have them in DVD. Life out of balance

'Last Supper' - some well meaning do gooders decide murder is an option - see it

'Raising Arizona' - kidnapping made funny

'The Final Cut' - your whole recorded life edited at your death - fascinating

'Babel' - interesting commentary on media and guns

'13 Conversations about one thing' - interesting along with movie below, sorta six degrees without connection

'Answers To Nothing' - LA group connected at the end

'Blow-up' and 'Rear Window' - photographers finding stuff

'Dr. Strangelove' - how I came to love the bomb

'Into the Wild'  - having been in Alaska I can imagine this

'Midnight Cowboy' - My wife and I's first date movie

'Easy Rider' and 'Five Easy Pieces'

'No Country for Old Men'  Favorite writer too

'The Silence of the Lambs'  weird, great acting

'You're a Big Boy Now' - loved it but want to see again
'Groundhog Day' - if only we could go back.....
'Forest Gump' - funny mix of history
'Birdy' - everyone would like to fly
'Fargo'- what characters
'Dual' - truck and roads another favorite place
'In Cold Blood' - book is excellent too
'Mad Max' - cars and law and Australia's roads and 'American Graffiti' sorta the youth of my day
'Pink Panther' - there was only one Peter Sellers
'It's a mad mad mad mad world' - funny

Wanna make America great, buy American owned, made in the USA, we do. AF Veteran, P-type: Advocate INFJ-A, liberal - conservative.

UltimateDeplorable

One must never forget "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest"!
Loved Midnight Cowboy, but it was very dark. Most uplifting part was Harry Nilsson's song "Everybody's talking".
If you want complex, deep, sad, funny, weird and dark, watch the foreign film "Leolo".
Finding an intelligent liberal is more difficult than  inventing perpetual motion.

Sick Of Silence

The Warriors - one gang gets framed for murder of a gang leader trying to unite all gangs for crime. They have to fight all the way back to their home turf.

Real Genius - young Genius goes to college, he and the existing superstar genius perfect a laser that they didn't know it was to be used by the military.

Down Periscope - sub commander gets his own boat, an old Diesel one with a misfit crew

Clerks/Clerks 2 - two slackers work at a convenient store and video rental place/same two slackers work at a fast food place

Shaolin Vs Wu Tang - two friends from rival  Kung Fu schools have to face each other

Return To The 36th Chamber - a guy who doesn't know Kung Fu, goes to Shaolin temple to train. They make him fix the roof but he trains by an unorthodox way.
With all these lawyers with cameras on the street i'm shocked we have so much crime in the world.

There is constitutional law and there is law and order. This challenge to law and order is always the start to loosing our constitutional rights.

Frauditors are a waste of life.
