Thus far, Change.org has received roughly 80,000 signatures protesting the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman, in the upcoming Superman/Batman feature. Then there's the Twitter crowd. And the Faceplant set. Everybody howlin' about Affleck as the Caped Crusader.

So here's some backhanded praise if ever I saw it, when Matt Damon pipes up and says it's not like this is beyond Affleck's skill-set (particularly after directing Argo).

The Insurance Duck himself has this to say to fans: calm down. They didn't like Micheal Keaton much, either, and ask Daniel Craig if his intro as 007 was any less contentious....

Affleck is all wrong (just as he was splendid as far as his role went, in Smokin' Aces). Damon in his younger days would have been brilliant as Robin the Boy Wonder. Settle for Affleck to direct and re-cast the lead role, pronto.

Henry Cavill was good as Superman, and they're talking about some guy I've never heard of from a TV show I've never seen as the Lex Luthor figure. Brian or Bryan somebody. Well, at least he's American and won't come equipped with the obligatory Brit accent....

The movie has received roughly $35 million in Michigan tax credits to film here.

Affleck, Shmaffleck.  Let Adam West do it for all I care.  Zack Snyder is the problem here.

What's the thought process:  the last Superman movie wasn't dark enough, so we have to really darken it up now?  By the time the JLA movie comes along, The Flash will be a meth-head and Wonder Woman will be a bi-polar welfare mother.

I don't care if they up the special effects ante to a billion dollars this time.  I'll pass.

I can't wait for the Batgirl release, an angry, sexually confused hormonal short fuse of frustration, meets the Hulk, another sexually confused character exploring his sensitive side.
In the epic adventure, Hulk helps Batgirl work through her issues, and together they fight homophobia world wide.

Fun for the whole family, cuming in theaters soon.

I got to laughing at how out of date I am about comics in general. Today I learned that in 1973, DC Comics character Green Lantern's newest hero was introduced as a black guy. Talk about timely news you can use, hey?

Costumes get skimpier. By the time the pedophiles seize all forms of publishing, Batgirl will be 10 years old and have a mask, two Band-Aids and a cork.

There is a lot of truth in that, and don't forget she will wind up with a genius dog sidekick that continuously make sarcastic sexual remarks that she never seems to catch, like (Brian/Family guy) "I'd hump that leg", she say's Whaattt? I said, "I'd have to beg", gee girl, didn't you see that hot dog stand back there?.

Of course the pedos always seem to have a bestiality kink.

Okay.  Enough Batman anything.   Nobody's ever done it with the spirit that Bob Kane originally instilled into it.

Whereas Kane was the original artist, a few of his successors also made their mark. I'm pretty sure this wasn't drawn by Kane, who normally signed his work, but the artwork here does come very close...and the message ain't shabby, either.

The character was "Hit Girl" in the movie "Kickass".

That was a totally vile, moronic waste of money. Nick Cage is now dead to me.

It would be funny if Matt Damon played Robin. Of course he will only do it if he gets to preach some hardcore lefty talking point. Lol! Maybe they could let Ben and Matt cover the subject of gay marriage. Batman and Robin get married or something like that.  :tounge:
