Will Hinckley shoot the bitch instead of whoever plays Rompin' Ronnie?

kramarat

I think Jane should play the part of an American POW, held by the VC in a little cage........................she finally gets hope, when some bubble headed bimbo shows up from Hollywood...............................and the slut sells her out. She spends the rest of the movie in her cage, wondering WTF happened. I wonder if the bitch would cop a clue? Sorry.

Hanoi Jane as Nancy Reagan. Wow. That'd be like casting, I dunno, Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan.

Wait a second...

"Are you serious?! Are you SERIOUS!?!??!"

Rickman is genetically incapable of a convincing American accent. Physically, he bears no resemblance whatsoever. Only Hollywood would think this is even on the same planet as reality---which I'm sure they knew full well what they were doing, paying back Ronnie for becoming a Republican.

Goodness! You sound just like Nancy Pelosi at her most agitated state! Calm yourself!

Actually, the Fonda/Rickman combo is perfect. What could better illustrate the complete disconnect between Hollywood and the real world?

I was making a riff off the footer slogan of tbone, whom I replied to.

In comparison, I offer this. Not toward you, but to describe an escalation in my enthusiasm....

I think Gary Sinese (sorry, not sure on spelling) would make a decent Raegan, he has that everyman quality about him, his face structure is similar, his voice isn't as gravelly, but better than a Britt.

Sure, assuming they were trying to do a documentary, but this is designed to rewrite history, putting the Reagan's in the worst possible light.
In 40 tears, the next generation will get their history lessons from garbage like this, and drawing a conclusion that Capitalism is a failed policy.

The studios drew the conclusion decades ago that CONSERVATIVISM is a failed policy, and have done their best to suppress anything contrary, since then.

I was surprised today to see the promo for both RED DAWN and ATLAS SHRUGGED 2 in the same block of several conservative-themed films. (Gerard Butler in some surfer-overcomes-odds Horatio Alger Jr. surfboard fable completing the block.) That right-wing combination struck me as a change from just earlier this year watching promos for THE AVENGERS.

RED DAWN in particular will introduce younger people to the real terrors of war on your own soil. The film's enemy will not be Islam but the message is the same. We have and are the best this world has to offer. You're damn right it's worth fighting for, not wait to be trampled by socialism.

Maybe, just maybe, the studios finally realized the U.S. audience isn't going to put up with partisan nonsense any more.

I should have stuck a [/sarc] tag on my comments. We're on the same page, I think.
