In a quest to stay relevant....  Horror film star, Jodie Foster says:

QuoteIn an interview with Radio Times Magazine, the actor and director slammed the likes of Marvel and DC production as the cinematic equivalent of fracking.

That's actually a good thing then, freeing up natural resources so common people like us can heat our homes and fuel our cars - we don't have fuel guzzling jets, like movie stars do.

Quote'Going to the movies has become like a theme park,' she said.

That's what movies are suppose to be, like "Carrie" "Silence of the Lambs" "Taxi Driver" was suppose to scare the hell out of teenagers - or was it suppose to be an "educational flick", how to win friends and influence people...?

Quote'Studios making bad content in order to appeal to the masses and shareholders is like fracking  — you get the best return right now but you wreck the earth.'

Serious?   Is this the queen of "bad content" biting the hollywood hand that enriched her?  How many "G" movies has Foster starred in, produced or promoted?   Now Comic book to film type movies are bad?   What does she do to relax and escape from the rigors of a hard, laborious day of manual labor?  She relaxes with Alexandra Hedison whom she married... after Cydney Bernard

QuoteFoster is an atheist but has said it is important to teach children about different religions, stating that "in my home, we ritualize all of them. We do Christmas. We do Shabbat on Fridays. We love Kwanzaa. I take pains to give my family a real religious basis, a knowledge, because it's being well educated. You need to know why all those wars were fought."

I'm sure she thinks she's "taking to best of religion" and trying to do "the right thing", the PC thing - she has an image to protect.  "Religion" is a man-made thing, quite different than a "relationship" with God the Creator.  ...sigh.  Being "well educated" is akin to understanding why wars are fought, over religion, of course.   Trying to stay relevant, there's probably another film out there, maybe it's based on the Book of Revelation, from which there is no escape.

Do Hollywood types really have such empty lives?  Does the media just whitewash their personalities into PC correctness?  Does play-pretending to be someone you're not, just sort of screw with your mind?  Have they "gotten into character" so often, they have none of their own personality, or is it all perverted by "pretending" to be weirdos & deviants?

For someone who says she cherishes her privacy, it sure doesn't sound like it.  And as far as those Comic Book Movies - like them or not, they probably have less of a personal impact on the viewer's psyche than Carrie, Silence of the Lambs, Taxi Driver... some really twisted crap, if you ask me.   ...maybe that's why Jodie Foster is who she is today.
