Title: Reincarnation
Post by: Lea on December 03, 2017, 06:49:16 AM
I'd like to hear from other believers who have discovered that their past lives are affecting their present ones.

Okay, I'm willing to tell of my experience.
Today, I have a relative who I apparently oppressed in my most recent past life.
Nothing that I am proud of, nor had control over.
Well, today, in this life, we are closely related, and have recently, both independently, recalled the same past life experiences. Because of it our relationship has basically gone into the toilet, but not of my doing.
This relative knows where the anger comes from, but can't let it go.
Hasn't anyone ever wondered why they feel about things the way they do? Why they like and dislike certain people or things?
I was raised an atheist and until I recalled the memories I wasn't a believer in any of it. Now, so many questions about my life have been answered and dealt with.
I would seriously like to hear the experiences of other believers.

Some people can not or will not let go of the past.

Others...

When they get much older they will be lucky if they can remember the past.

My brother, a happy guy through most of the 50s and 60s, found Scientology in the early 70, though, not one to ever carry baggage of any sort, suddenly became aware of hidden guilt from past experiences, present and distant past, millennial past.

Point is, screw the past, what one does in the here and now, sets the path for tomorrow.

"If you are depressed you are living in the past.
If you are anxious you are living in the future.
If you are at peace you are living in the present."
― Lao Tzu

He who keeps an eye on the past, will not see the future clearly.

Interesting, as I recite that quote to myself almost daily.
I get that the present is the only place we should be.
But sometimes it's not always easy, especially when others are involved.

That's the beauty of getting older, regrets come fewer and further between, to the point you simply forget.
I know people my age that still carries baggage from their childhood and others that think they're being punished from a past life, as if they are somehow deserving.
Nah, I move on almost immediately, though, I live by the rule to never do anything you have to apologize for later.
Of course, as a narcissist, it comes easy.  J/K
