For those that do not know, the Ga. Tech campus is basically in downtown ATL. When I was growing up it was adjacent to depression era built government housing. While that is long gone the area around the campus is pretty rough. The students are convenient targets for thugs and they are usually lucrative targets as well. Ga. Tech is a great institution, but I would not want my kids attending there at it is not a safe environment.
