That was in Saudi Arabia.... which is not surprising in the least.  I saw things even more astounding than that.

At a train crossing I have seen Arab drivers pull around other cars and pull up to the passing train.. in the oncoming traffic lanes.  Then more cars pull up on the shoulder of the road.  They are trying to be first to cross the tracks when the train is gone.  Sometimes I have seen six cars abreast waiting for a chance to cross the tracks.

Problem was...... the other side of the train did the same thing.

When the train passed there were multiple cars nose to nose on both sides of the tracks.  No one could go anywhere!
