Solar, I put the quotes here as you told me to do.  And, you said they don't mean what I think they mean.  I may be misinterpreting them.  I put them there because they were two of my favorite memes.  What did I do wrong exactly?

Death may be the greatest of all human blessings. -Socrates

From the deepest desires often come the deadliest hate. -Socrates

Does that mean if one let's go of all ambition and desire one will more then likely let go of hate?

Another quote I like by Socrates is "I know that I know nothing."  It is a paradox and here is why.  If I know that I know nothing then how is it possible to really know that I know nothing.  It can't be possible so there must be some things that I must know and some things I do not know.  In other words, one may be more or less ignorant in things then one thinks and one has to find out through questioning, observing and studying.   And, knowledge doesn't stop but is a continuous process of learning and refinement.

And, that is why I come here.  I'm laboring under a set of assumptions and I made my decisions in my life based upon these set of assumptions. I believe it is those assumptions that has caused my issues in addition other things.  If I hang around people who have similar assumptions to my own and similar thought process to my own (liberals and/or others with aspergers) then all they will do is reinforce what I accept to be true.  We end up being each other's echo chamber.
I need to go to those who would oppose my assumptions and question the logic of their assumptions.  It forces me to think about my own assumptions and question them as well.   When I argue with everyone here I'm arguing with myself.  That's a part of my INTP -A personality.

This may seem weird.  And, I actually love being wrong as well.  If I'm wrong on something it leads to new insights and I love getting new insights on things.  If one realizes one can be wrong and one realizes one can be ignorant on differing things then one can make the choice to grow both in wisdom and knowledge.

This is why this quote is one of my favorites.

Nature, to be commanded, must be obeyed. -Francis Bacon

Read more at: https://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/francis_bacon_151989

This means in order to make use of something one has to understand its properties and understand how it works and why it works that way.  Once, one understands this then one has to use these rules to make use of this something.   Example:  If one is to use gears in a given contraption then one has to understand how gears work in relation to each other.  Same thing with pulleys.

If I understand life's given nature then I can obey its rules thereby making it work for me and for others as well.

Why don't you do a search for what Socrates was talking about instead of fumbling with meanings?
And do you even know what a Meme is?
Keep in mind, we're a politically themed forum when attempting to post memes.

I thought I knew what he was talking about.  I don't get how to look up something if I think I know something but I really don't and I don't realize I don't.  <<<And, that is the story of my life is dealing with out of context problems.

As for Meme, I looked it up in the dictionary you gave me but it is not there.  So, I looked it up here.  I don't know it this definition would be acceptable to you or not.  https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/meme

And, the post said post my favorite meme.  I put what I thought was a meme and there was no qualifier that said it had to be political.

Try this:
Search and see what you get. "From the deepest desires often come the deadliest hate. -Socrates"

Then read the replies and see if you can see which fits the best.

Look at all the memes in that thread and see if you can see a theme to follow.
Memes are pictures that depict what what they are trying to say, all you posted was a quote, and no, that is not a meme that fits with a political theme.

I did.  From what I read, I took the quote to literally.

Ok, I see what I did wrong.  I should have looked at some of the posts to determine the subject of what was being said and I didn't properly understand what a meme was.  I missed the gestalt or bigger picture of that particular thread.
