A Briar was fishing in the Ohio River one evening. A Buckeye was doing the same directly across the river. The Briar hadn't had the first nibble all day. The Buckeye, on the other hand, was dragging in fish hand over fist, and had already filled two buckets and a cooler with catfish, and was turning them back into the river, just catching them for fun.

The Briar called across: "Hey you! How you doin' over there?"

The Buckeye answered: "Man, I'm doin' GREAT! I ain't never seen so many fish. I could use some help! Why don't you come over here and help me?"

Briar: Well, I ain't doin' worth a shit over here, that's for sure. But how'm I s'posed to get over there to he'p you? There ain't a bridge for thirty miles, and I damn sure cain't swim that far!"

Buckeye: "Let's do it like this. It's gonna be dark here in a little bit and I've got a good flashlight in my tackle box. Once it's good and dark, I'll shine my light to you and you walk over here on the beam!"

Briar: "What? Y'all must think we're pretty stupid over here! Why, I'd get halfway acrost, an' you'd just turn the damn flashlight off!"

Now THAT is funny, and I don't care WHO you are.
