Anyway, that is the title, but for the life of me, his analysis is spot on, though, I'd have started by pouring a couple of gallons of fuel in the tank, so as to eliminate the possibility of a bad, or stuck fuel gauge, leading the driver to believe they still have fuel in the tank.
