A taxi cab driver was headed to the airport with a passenger in tow. The passenger leaned forward and gently tapped the cab driver on the shoulder to ask a question.
The driver screamed, almost hit a bus, hopped a curb and stopped just short of going through a restaurant window.
For a few seconds, everything was silent in the cab. Then, the shaken driver said, "are you okay"...? The driver said, "you scared the crap out of me".
The badly shaken passenger apologized and said, " I didn't think a mere tap on the shoulder would startle someone that bad".
The driver replied, "no, no I'm the one who is sorry, it's entirely my fault". "Today is my very first day driving a taxi cab. I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years".
