I'd never watched a formal Pentagon video before and was prepared for brain-numbing typical fare I used to do for AFRTS back in the Nam era. Was I surprised!
This is a superbly-photographed, edited, and fascinating look at 24 hours in the life of the U.S. Army's oldest continuous regiment, Third Infantry, and probably better-known as the Old Guard. They guard the Tomb of the Unknowns. They bring the caissons and cannons and tradition, a brutally-competitive internal push for personal perfection, fully earning them the title of one of our military's finest.
Interviewees are personable, articulate, often times funny, and their common goal to be perfect in service to America's fallen. "There is no room for error," a common refrain here. "There is no room for mistake."
