What kind of competition they had in 1912, in Olimpic games in Sweden?  :huh:

Depends on the event. Running, jumping, swimming, etc. probably. Not even a loin cloth.  However, there were also combative style events and games, and in those the last thing the contestant(s) would want is their family jewels swinging in the wind. For those events they wore breechclouts, sometimes reinforced with leather armor.  "Below the belt" was not forbidden territory in those days.

I don't find the athletes on the original image being naked is weird, let them be naked if they want to. But what is that bandage on the athlete's man pride which is unrolling, what kind of creepy mind could draw such a weird thing, and for what purpose?
