When you open the "write message" panel, you'll see two lines of icons (and a third line of smilies) above the block where your message goes. The "image" icon is different than LNF and comes FIRST on the SECOND line.

(It's tiny here, but looks like this..... )

Press it and the HTML tags are auto-generated to add a link to your image. Example here uses parentheses ( ) in place of brackets, to show up in this post:

You could "hot link" to an image at another site, but it probably won't stay valid. Many image sites do block users from doing that.

Your best bet is to open an image hosting account somewhere, and link to that. Many image sites run specials. I got 3 years for $36, which at MY volume of images is a good deal, though Fotki also has free accounts you could try out.

Well, I kinda over-explained it, above, just in case you meant some part of it that I wasn't picking up on. The image itself is different than at LNF, so it bears repeating: Image 1 on Line 2.

Flickr does have some issues on hotlinking. Someone mentioned that to me recently. Maybe I saw a no-hotlink image by them in a posting here, can't recall. If you do plan on uploading many images, look for one which allows you to store in groups (folders), to help stay organized.

And if you can beat $1/month for 3 years, let me know.
