Hi,

I'm brand new to this forum and look forward to becoming an active member. Very quick background: I'm the senior staff writer for a political news site with 10+ million page views per month.

I understand that some places frown on members posting their own material; and I certainly have no intention of ever spamming the boards here. That being said, I write about what I consider important, so I just wanted to get a read on how moderators would respond to me occasionally linking to my own content in a legitimate effort to share news -- and my commentary on it -- before I actually do so.

Beyond that, I'm anxious to start poring through the topics and weighing in when I am so inclined.

Best regards,

Chris

Welcome Chris.

Yes, it is frowned upon to a point, it also depends on where you're linking to.
All I can say, is post as a member first, let the members get to know you, because if you piss them off early on, they'll turn on you in a heart beat.

Sir, what you need to do is PM Solar before doing so.   You need his  permission to promote your work(s) before doing so.    Just click on his name and you can send him a PM.

Thank you for asking before doing so.  Solar is Admin but it is faster to PM him as Solar.
