In some topics (e.g. the police standoff in San Bernardino today), there are pictures so large that the page is very wide, much wider than my browser window. The text is wide, so wide that scrolling is necessary to read each post.
A good maximum width is 1024 pixels, because many early flat screens can't have higher resolutions.

That can be fixed by adding width = xxx height= xxx right after img
What is a good width?
