Title: Is there a post about "What is a conservative?"
Post by: Justaguy on December 27, 2015, 05:29:47 AM
I've done a search, but I'm not found anything where people discuss what they consider is conservative.  I have seen those threads on other boards, and find them interesting.  If it has been discussed here, I'd be interested in seeing it.

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, there are three threads on the subject, the last being within the year.
One goes into detail more than the other two, and the last being a repeat of the second.
I'll see if I can find it, but lately I've been striking out big time with search.

Well this is irritating as hell, I know for a fact I stated that "Conservatism is a way of life, not a political system" and the damned search engine won't cough up shit.
I know something is wrong with search....

OK finally got some hits from some of my posts. Maybe one of these can help lead there.

I really appreciate it!  I'll give them a read.

For the record, I'm a small government, fiscally conservative, constitutionalist that believes that the Federal Government exists as a compact of states rather than as an individual omnipotent entity.  I believe power flows up, not down.

I also believe that most things the Federal Government does is outside their charter.  I believe that they have tortured the interstate commerce clause to include jurisdiction over things that it was never designed to address.

As I'm new here, I thought you might like to know what kind of conservative I am.

Thanks again!!!

This and the Civil war was beat to death as topics go, though the Civil War won, so to speak, but if you read through the different forums, you'll find them most certainly.

If you stick around you will soon figure out what most believe here. For the most part you will find most of us also believe as you posted your beliefs.
