Is there a size which works best? The one I posted was off a deer camera so I thought it would be small enough, if I use a picture from a camera should I down size it? I see some pics that seem to take up too much room.

You can always preview your post and see if it needs resizing.  You can resize small picture bigger but they will look fuzzy if you go very big.  You can always resize big picture down with no problems by using [img width= height= ]

This may help you a bit, at least you can experiment by adjusting the width/height yourself. I usually adjust each by 100 + -,  E.G   This one goes at the end of the link
