Q PATRIOT!!!

Yawn

This is needed.

When you mean "you are" it's "you're" and not your
When you mean "they are" it's "they're" and not there or their

Plus all of the others listed.

Some say you shouldn't complain about sloppy English, but it does say a lot about the person.  If you don't know (or is it no) the basics why would someone trust your opinion on other, more serious matters?

Many years ago, I worked in an office environment in a position that required a lot of letter-reading, letter-writing, memo-composing, report-compiling, and so on. Every day there was mail, often from representatives of government agencies. The grammar and spelling was so often simply awful.

I have to say -- and call me what you will for saying it -- that with every misspelling and grammatical error in any given piece of correspondence, I thought progressively less of the person whose signature appeared at the bottom. Yeah, I was a grade school spelling champion, but for the love o' Christ! If you're going to go out on a limb and compose business correspondence, I think you should either learn to farking spell or shell out the bucks to pay someone who can.

Just my fiftieth of a dollar...

I can let spelling slide since I'm dyslexic, some stands out like a sore thumb and others slip right by, or simply typos.
But what I find inexcusable is the basics of grammar, like there, their and they're, or you and you're, even plurals like woman and women.
Yes people, a woman is just that, an individual, women is more than one, even a million, but using women as a cover all is nothing short of failing 2nd grade, maybe even first grade. Did you cal-l your teacher a women, no, you called her a woman.

OK, rant done.

It's not your fault, you're not an expert in the English language, Being It's not their responsibility to make you a master of the English language, they're doing the best one can ask over there

You are more accomplished than many, English is a fairly difficult language, every rule has its exception.  I have never read your posts and wondered what you were talking about, the same can't be said of others who have posted.

His command of the English language made me suspect he was lying about his origin when he first joined and the fact that he has an excellent understanding of US politics.
I wish we had more just like him, he brings a new and fresh perspective to the forum.

lol thanks, have learned alot since I came here and have been corrected prob more than a dozen times.

There are many like me in europe when it comes to conservatism, its only sad european conservative don't have the US constitution, but the right wing is growing. For example the Progress party in Norway got over 22,9% of the vote (the name does not stand for progressive, but actual progress ) , and to understand the context imagine a political party that was formed like the tea party due to crippling taxation, it first name was "Anders Lange Party for lower taxes", then imagine the media constantly attacking the party as a lunatic fringe party, then know the chairman Carl I. Hagen made a speech about the islamization of Norway which caused the media to go all out racism charges attacks, this is in addition too several nazi's sneak joining the party and claiming to speak for the party when they stated racist and anti semetic remarks and still despite all this the party is now the second largest party in norway  Of course the party has many "rino's" now that it is establishment, but it is a tribute to the resistance against communism in Norway is growing, and the same is true in Sweden where the right actually won the election and across Europe.

The sad thing is most active european far-right conservatives fall for the National Socialist trap by embracing nazism because it is perceived as antithetical too socialism and therefore must be the natural resitance group, and then join forums like stormfront instead of this forum.

Toys daughter and husband are considering Sweden because he has a health issue and Sweden has the best treatment center in the free world.
What would you tell them if you were to give the positives and negatives of such a move?
Do me a favor if you would, put the explanation in the Finance forum as a new topic.
Thanks.

This is the problem with equating European "Conservatives" with American Conservatism. The Nazis are NOT American Conservatives. Their policies are Socialist even though Nationalistic.  American Conservatives favor INDIVIDUAL freedoms over the State as long as you don't trample on the freedoms of others. Europeans (and the Socialists here) draw the Conservative/Liberal line differently than Americans who understand the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Yes and this is why I feel closer to you guys than the people on i.e stormfront

When I was politically active in the youth wing of progress party we always had american flags on party HQ walls to state this difference. If you remember the norwegian mass murderer Breivik, he stated in his memoirs that he hated american conservatives and the norwegian progress party
