I mentioned in a post on the Forum that I use a Droid rather than a computer. My question has to do with uploading attachments like memes or pictures that are either downloaded to my phone from the net in the form of jpg. My first try at it was uploading my avatar to my profile which works successfully as there was a prompt provided. When I tried to upload in a post I clicked on attachments and other options and got the pull-down menu notify me of replies don't use Smileys and return to this topic but nothing further. I read in the help section about uploading photos with a URL and I understand that but it doesn't seem to apply in this situation. If anybody could help I would be very appreciative thank you
I did however notice several icons above the Smiley's but I'm afraid I don't have the knowledge to interpret what any of them mean
Nevermind, I'm pretty sure I found my answer in The Help section when I was looking at the way the board is set up in the options of the way it is formatted. Given a little time I think it'll work itself out if not, "I BE BOK"

I'm still not able to make it work. Underneath the reply box there is attachment and other options. When I click on it I get three options, notify me of replies don't use smileys and return to this topic. Should there be a fourth option for uploading attachments like memes or pictures that I have downloaded or are in my photos that I have taken with the camera on my phone. Would it look any different if I were on computer?
On other forums when I click attachments it would take me directly to my photos which includes memes that I have downloaded and screenshots and I would just click on whatever I wanted to upload. Thanks for any help anyone can give me

On this board you can not upload photos for your computer or phone. You must up load photos to the net first.

Thanks walkstall, my worst fears have been realized. I'm so uninformed about modern technology that I don't know if it's worth it to me at this point to do that. Perhaps sometime in the future I'm not so busy I'll look into it but I appreciate your help

I do have an account with Dropbox that I had forgotten about cuz it's been so long since I used it but when I checked their website the other day I think they've changed their policies and they no longer assign photos in your public folder it's separate URL. I'll have to check with my son
What I was curious about is when I registered and uploaded my avatar it was from the photos and memes that are stored on my phone. Is that a different process than what you have to do when you're posting on the board?
I know you guys are really busy so I will make this my last question on the subject. Thanks

Because the ones on your phone were already hosted, before you downloaded them.
Any pic you find on the web is already hosted by someone.
