Vegetable oil for cooking to maintain the health

Vegetable oil is good for health and you can use it for cooking .and it is extracted from the different types of seeds and vegetable oil.

I use Extra Virgin Olive oil about 90% of the time, the other 10% I use Extra Virgin Olive oil with garlic.

Haven't tried coconut oil yet, we are an olive oil/ canola oil kinda house...

Haven't tried coconut oil yet, we are an olive oil/ canola oil kinda house...

You can cook at a higher heat and no burning, with coconut oil.

I'm  doing okay on it. It suits my stomach. Don't use much for frying eggs and veggies.

 I also put it on my hair as a conditioner.

I'm not saying it's good or bad, my point is, many of these things get touted as a magic bullet.

What is really going on behind the scene, is large corporations spend money on studies designed to tout their products, then release them to the media, pay others to tout their findings as gospel and a new miracle product is born.

Like all things, moderation is the key, mix and enjoy.

 I know what you mean. But it does tolerate higher cooking temps, without burning, and one doesn't need much, in a non stick pan.   I only use the best, bio-virgin.

I have been using coconut oil for over a year now.  Hair - conditioning, moisturizer - hands, feet, dry spots, homemade deodorant.  I also use it in baking sometimes.

Usually to dry and never at the roots.  I have long hair so about 4-5 inches.  I will use it for deep conditioning on a weekend and have several versions I use for that.

I have a friend who is really into it. Another friend who is a diabetic, swears by it for his health.

As I've  said, I use it for frying,  and on hair and on skin. 

Olive oil I keep for salad dressing.  And that isn't all it's cracked up to be.. I have an article on it somewhere, I'll try to find.
