It is good,,, just a hint of the cream cheese and it does hold up well enough to use as a sandwich type.   But its not as thick as  say the top of a bun... if you try it let me know how that goes....

I have tried these, and I can attest to the fact that they do work to hold your sandwich meat, and don't taste all bad. And they are very easy to make.

Elfie - I finally made these yesterday (I had been seeing them all over Pinterest) and must say I was extremely happy with the finished product.  I actually had a egg white, ham, cheese breakfast sandwich this morning and was in heaven.  I plan on making another batch this afternoon.  Thanks for sharing.

They are good.  Now that I have an oven again I will be making them and other breads.  Lost my oven, after right at 40 years it finally died.  Now I have this new thing. A 40" double oven dual fuel. Cant wait, still learning the how to's with dual fuel.

I must be getting old or not out much.  First I have heard of dual fuel stoves.

Well let me tell ya,   it was the only option cost wise.  The top is gas, 5 burners, the main oven and the baking oven is electric or convection. I have had to relearn how to cook with electric meats n such, and cookies, cakes, bread is convection.   So I just cook a type of til I get it right.

They say electric ovens hold the heat much longer.  As gas ovens needs more venting.

I think you will like it once you get the hang of it.  The ovens both look small.

At nearly 5 times the cost to run, which is why I was surprised to hear they were still available. The demand just isn't there.

The main oven is full sized, the "baking oven" will hold 1 loaf of bread in a bread pan.  One must buy special sized pans for that side.  Main oven will bake 2 cookie sheets at a time, I am going to try 4 bread loaves while set on convection....
As far as liking it,,,well, thats what I am told.  I will know when this bunch of holidays are over.

Oh these duel fuels are pretty much going to be up and coming.  I have many friends that have them.   I tried hard to find a replacement for ol bessie, but the cost of a 40", 2 ovens,2 broilers,6 burner all gas was nuking futz!    Only ones I found were rehab, beautiful things, druel over nice,  but I am not about to spend 4500.00.
These gas topped electric/convection things was it.
