Nice find Milos. This is why I've gone back to basics, no processed foods ever again.

I was recently on the Keto diet and got down to under 210lbs (from 250lbs).  I let my self go since, but I'm going to be getting back on it.  It was a low carb diet, high fat diet.  The weight was dropping off and I had more energy (physical and mental).  I've lost a lot of weight before (280lbs down to 190lbs) but that was years ago when I cut out the sodas and fries (and I was extremely active).

On the Keto diet, I just ate meat, cheese, butter, and high fat stuff.  Many ailments cleared up too.

I am necroing this thread, because I am somewhat attached.

My Moniker here in Cyberworld, is Tiny1.  I got this nickname from a Road Crew Member on the Nugent 1983 Tour.  I was stationed next to another Bodyguard, who was 6'10" tall and weighed about 375.  I was a diminutive 6'3" and only 270.
After I retired from Armed Personal Security work, I went to work in Construction and left Los Angeles, and well the rest of California, in my wake.  I came to NC, and continued in the Construction Trades.  Eventually, I became a Track Loader operator.
Sitting on my rear end, day after day, I began to gain weight.  Wasn't long until I hit 320.  Became a Finance officer at a Loan Company.  AND, I learned to cook.  Add 30-40 more pounds.  Got hurt.  Out of work 8 months and 3 Surgeries.  Put on a few more.
I wound up at 420 lbs.  One day, my wife called me at work to inform me that her car caught fire in the Driveway, and the house was now ablaze.  I rushed home to watch my home, burn into ashes.
Most people do not associate all the consequences when they hear that someone got fat.  My health faltered, and MY Blood Pressure went to 220/140.I was, of course, hospitalized.  Once out of the Hospital, my dear sweet mother informed us that we were going to stay with her, until our house was replaced.
She put me on the Atkins Diet.  For 7 months I ate Ketogenic Low Carb.  Maximum of 20 grams of Carbs per day, and all from Green Leafy Veggies.  Lost down to 308.  Moved back into my house, and went right back to my old W.O.E.(Way of Eating).  Went back up to 368.  Had Lymphedema, COPD, Hypertension for which I took 3 medications, and My Blood sugar was borderline Diabetic.  Digestive issues sidelined me from some activities.  And I had a real hard time walking farther than 25 feet.
Christmas of 2018, I made Prime Rib.  The next Day, I went back on Atkins.  Mom had me go to her house, each day, where she fed me Low Carb foods.  She MADE me go there for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, for 4 months.  I have been losing on my own, the last 5 months.
I am now 269.6 lbs as of Monday Morning.
I told you all of that, to get to this.....
.....I went for a Life Screen the other day.  They tested my Lipids, arterial inflammation, Blood Flow, Plaque in major arteries, etc.
My Blood Pressure was 128/85, without medication.
My Blood Sugar was 91.
My Total Cholesterol was 108.
HDL was 33 and my LDL was 49.
Triglycerides were 127.
Blood flow as good to my feet, as it was to my Head, and Hands.  They did the Arterial Scans and found that I had no Arterial Plaque, to speak of.  I can walk an 18 hole Golf Course.  I take no more medication, save it be an occasional Aleve for my Arthritis.  I take a Senior Multivitamin, a Magnesium supplement, a Probiotic, and MCT Oil Powder.(Bulletproof Coffee)
Trying to get to 255, and maybe 240.
I was a tight 52 waist.  Now, I am looking to buy some 40 Relaxed Fit.  No more COPD, Lymphedema, or digestive issues. Blood Sugar back to normal.
My doctor is having a fit.

I've been on Atkins for the last year.  Lost 100 lbs.  Feel great.  But you are aware of all this.
But, are you aware of MCT Oil Powder?  This stuff, is a miracle in a jug.
MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglyceride.  It is a supplement that provides many needed compounds for health Body, Mind and BRAIN.  Pretty good for the soul, I might add.
But, I digress.
Anyway, I belong to a Keto Forum called LCNeighborhood.  Some friends there told me about it.  SO, I got on Amazon and bought some.  Paid 40 dollars for a 2 month, or so, supply.  I put it in my morning Coffee.  It has a creaming effect, but I like my coffee, black.  I endure this minor inconvenience.  16 oz mug, 1 scoop of MCT and a tbsp. cream.  Short blast of Splenda Zero and mix extremely well.  Some people use a stick blender.
A short time(minutes, not hours) and you'll get the notion to get up and do whatever.  Not caffeine type energy, but REAL energy.  You know how you felt once you became "Fat Adapted"?  This magnifies that sensation.  My Sweet 83 year old mother was having fatigue spells.  I got her taking this, and she has not had one spell, since.  You see, the MCT's do not go through your digestive processes.  Straight to the liver, where they are converted to Ketones and burned as energy.  MCTs never store as fat.  Other benefits include:
Decreased appetite.
Increased Calorie burning potential.
Increased Ketone production.
Promote weight loss.
Maximize exercise performance.
Prevention of plaque build up in arteries.
Antivirus and antibiotic properties.
Strep and staph resistance
Better gut health.
Reduced insulin resistance
Sugar management and reduced blood glucose.
Increased liver health.

And, they are still finding benefits all the time, it seems.  You can buy a small jug, 1/2 pound, I think.  About 13-14 bucks, IIRC. 3 weeks, or so, supply.  Try it.  I really think you'll see the improvements.  If I can help, PM me.
