Ahhh yes,,, shes been helping deciding where the new raised bed is going, lmao, little does she know,
It never fails, as soon as we break ground, the dogs love the fresh turned earth.
I was clearing the  road of all the acorns behind the house and scraped down a few inches, around the size of a small lot for a house, it instantly became their playground.
And as soon as we plant a new garden, they think it's their new bed to sleep in and dig a burrow.
We always have to put up a small fence for a couple of weeks to keep them out.

I bought a Pressure Cooker last fall. I've always used hot water bath but the pressure cooker is great, not a bad jar of anything yet.
As far as dogs we had a real bad time here last year. I usually have enough veggies to last one full year. Well using organic fertilizer every dog within a 1/4 mile used my garden as a play ground. I am out already. This year will be much different the neighbors will get one notice then that's it!

I would send the notice out early.

Once you learn your Pressure Cooker MeLady, you will like doing your veggies that way also.   M has been using one for canning for over 40 years.

OK woke up Sat. to find horses in my yard, no biggie around here but it opened the gates to speak of dogs. I called the neighbor and he said that was strange since his horses have never escaped before. Well I had the pleasure to tell him of the other neighbors dogs who run his horses because the bratty kids lift the fence so the dog can run the horses.
So point is I explained to one neighbor that my yield was about 40% of normal last year because of his dogs and he said they're my g-friends go ahead shot them I can't stand them. The other neighbor just denied her dog is ever out of her yard. LOL And the neighbor whose dog does the most damage yelled and hollered her dog just wants to play. Last yr. her pig dug up about half an acre of my field.
Well they are now all aware of the situation.

I would say lock and load young lady.  But I love Dog and Cats, I would think small claims court would be the way to go.     Have camera will travel, hit in the pocketbook.

I have pictures of all the animals in my yard. I really don't mind but it's hard work keeping a garden organic with the weed pulling an hoeing and such. Something will be done this year. I put up about 1500 ft. of fence last spring.  I just don't like neighbor conflict and usually stay to my self.

UGHHHH, I know what you mean and empathize, so far I've accomplished a half mile, and still nearly a mile to go over rough terrain, and it's all because of neighbors.
One of these days I plan on getting cattle, but not till I'm sure I can keep them in, but it definitely won't be till the price of feed comes down.

My property was fenced in with barbed wire which I didn't like it at all and 3-5 feet on each side of the wire was briers 5-6 feet high and thick. Took me most of the spring taking it down and cutting up the other crap that grew up. Now it pretty well cleaned up. The only thing that slowed me down last year was where I want to put the fence along my road is buried wire and I know in some spots it only about 10-12 inches deep.
Instead of t-post I may just hire someone to dig the holes by hand about 18" and cement in 6" round wood post, I have about 6 more weeks to think about it.

Uggghh I know what you mean, I had old blackberry bushes about 300' worth to get through.
One of the ares I need to fence of is a rock cliff face, not sure how I will, or rather, if I will ever get that fenced.

I tried the post with post mix cement, lasted about 10 years and rotted off, even though they were pressure treated.
I should have learned from my years as a ranch hand and repairing fence, they used split cedar posts, burned one end, stuck it in the ground, and it was still like the day they built it 100+ years earlier.

I have the cedar growing, I just don't want to work that hard now, so I too will hire some poor kid to finish the work.

We also used split cedar posts burned at one end, for property fence line.  But we also use a small tractor with a post hole digger on the back.  Great for planting grapes and apples trees.

I love hot water bath canning, but I wanted more options.  Two years ago my father got me a large pressure canner for Christmas.  I absolutely love it.  It makes things so much faster.

My dad told me the story of the only time he ever heard his mama swear, she was making a batch of baked beans in her pressure canner and things got out of hand.  The canner exploded and beans ended up everywhere, including the ceiling.  He said that was the one time he can remember that she swore and threw away food.  He doesn't remember her making baked beans after that either.
