Title: Dentist Appointment
Post by: CG6468 on April 29, 2014, 05:53:17 AM
Well, my dental appointment is this morning to get a filling replaced.  :scared:

I really like my dentist personally, but I don't like to go to the dentist. If you catch my drift.

I too hate the dentist, even when I have a toothache, it's like pulling teeth to get me to go see a dentist.

Thinking about that. Crowns or caps. (Same thing?) How much did you pay?

I can't remember the exact amount. I'm fortunate enough to have dental insurance so a chunk of it was covered by that, plus I had a lot of other dental work done at about the same time. Around here (SC) I've seen prices range from 700- 900 bucks? Sounds pricey but it was seriously worth it. I would've gladly paid the full price. It had been 10 years since I had been to a dentist and my two molars were in bad shape - they pretty much became hollowed out, parts of them broken off. I've had them for about 3 years now without any problems. If you need some crowns trust me it's worth it. If you can't afford them the dentist can probably work with you and provide a cheaper alternative. I've heard mine help people out who couldn't afford them and instead try to build up a tooth with fillings. It probably doesn't hold up as well as a crown but it's certainly better than not having a tooth I suppose. A crown is definitely worth it.
