As a man, do you embrace your age

Or are you fighting it's appearance cosmetically?
I ask because I'm seeing a trend among late 30s, year old guys dyeing their hair, getting hair plugs, Ron Popeil's hair in a can, even a touch of make up and face lifts etc.
Myself, I've always viewed it as a milestone of achievement with scars to prove you've endured the Darwin challenge, an earned wisdom through survival, but when I see these young guys denying reality, I have to question.....
What are they in fear of? Because that's really what it comes down to, fear.
Is it fear of losing their youth, where stupidity is overlooked because you're not done cooking, is it vanity, where they fear losing the attention of the young and dumb opposite sex? No apologies ladies, it comes with growing up, and guys aren't spared the ignorant gene either.

Or is it a fear of having to finally act like an adult, where people look to you for bits of wisdom?
Not only am I embracing it, I'm holding it hostage while I scream at those damn kids to stay off my lawn. (not that I really care WTF they do, I just like getting away with it)

Seriously, is this what the new generation fears, are they really all that vain, did the cosmetic Co's really get through to playing on their vanity?

Like in the old computer world WYSIWYG.  I worked too damn hard getting this ugly.     I have had a very short Crew Cut all my life.  If I go bald I would be happy.

Eye Doc. said I may have to have upper eyelid surgery if my droopy eyelids affect my vision.  But that was 10 years ago and there been no need to do it as of yet.  My wife will not let me go into town unless I shave, something about the ten whiskers on my face look funny.

I am grateful I accept the aging process. I do nothing to enhance what I am other than staying clean shaven and neat.

Now you're just trying to make me look bad. :biggrin j/k

I imagine there are a lot of men that go the extra mile for their wives, that makes total sense, kind of an obligation in a I guess.
Like Walks said, he shaves so as not to piss off the wife. I do it because it starts to itch after a week or so, but I'm lucky, toy doesn't care either way.

Shaving is just a habit, but I also cannot stand having any kind of beard for even a day.

I can go weeks without looking in the mirror, then when I happen to see my reflection in the microwave, I realize not only do I need a shave, but a damn haircut as well.
Right now, I need both, but Hell, this is the forest, everyone understands, if I were to go into town, I'd fit right in...

What woman doesn't love a good combover and a butt crack, while sporting a middle age early 30's beer gut?

Years back I was driving down the freeway alongside a guy in his late 50s early 60's driving a convertible red Vet with his combover being vacuumed straight up 5" and back another two or three inches.
I swear, I about peed my pants laughing, I backed off and sat back and watched the look on people's faces as they slowly passed by.
No kidding, it went straight up, to the edge of the windshield and the wind pushing past bent the hair straight back. Funniest thing I ever saw, but that was before camera phones, unfortunately.
