Hmm... I have always been told high blood pressure is any thing that was over 120/80.  They also tell me at my age 150/90 is ok over 60.  LOL

snip~
30 million Americans who woke perfectly healthy yesterday morning are now suddenly in need of expensive hypertension treatments after the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology decided to lower the definition of "high blood pressure" to 130/80 from the previous trigger of 140/90.  According to Reuters, the change means that nearly 50% of American adults, or roughly 100 million people, now suffer from high blood pressure.

Like all things, too much will kill ya. However, there is a but in this equation. A really big old Butt!
Who paid the AHA to do the study? Follow the money, some big pharmaceutical companies no doubt.
I was born with high blood pressure, I'm a red head, we run hot in every form, be it heart rate, temperature or drive, we tend to have a narrower focus and higher drive than most people.

Asians on the other hand, are a lower key society due to genetics and culture, which would throw this curve off, cultural diets play a large part in certain parts of the world as well, but one thing is certain, we are not all the same regardless.
So now we're all supposed to take drugs to fit the mold the drug companies want us to?

Screw em all! I knew as a child I would live a frontend loaded life, meaning there was no reason to save for old age, I'd never make it past my mid 70s because I burned the candle from both ends and the center, packed all of life into a shorter time frame and lived life to the fullest, 5 times what most do in 30 years, and I have zero regrets, screw old age and drugs, if I can't do as I've always done, I'm checking out, I refuse to be a slave to medications.

Here it is in a nutshell. You can do as these so called professionals say, or you can live your life.
You could buy an airbag system for your body, wear a helmet and Kevlar all day as well as goggles, right?
Well, that covers most accidents, then you can restrict your diet to whey protein, rice crackers, water grow your own livestock, vegetables etc, so we have that covered, line your home with foil for good measure while you're at it, ya never know about EMF.
Oh, and build an underground bunker with a rebreather system and 20 years of food and water backup, can't be too safe, right?
Oh, and be sure and pad all corners in your home, get a rubber tiled shower, you can never be too careful.
But then, if you take these beta blockers, none of that will matter, you won't have enough drive or energy to get up to take a dump.

OK, now you're safe, go out and live your life and ignore the ridicule.
Orrrrr.... you could just do what normal people do, and be freakin happy with the time you're allotted, we were never meant to live this damned long in the first place anyway.

I have had high BP for as long as I can remember.
No thanks to the doctors and their prescribed BP and anxiety meds, I found at least part of the cause.
Low magnesium.

Low magnesium.
How did you make that discovery?

During earlier hormone problems, I had been going to an endocrinologist. Through blood tests, he discovered the low magnesium. In doing research, I (not him) put two and two together. The mag. not only helped with my high BP, but it helped with my high anxiety. Now not sure I really like feeling like a slug though, but if it helps....
