Title: Verizon Rip-off
Post by: hokiewoodchuck on March 12, 2012, 01:57:42 PM
Folks, for $1.99/month verizon is sticking it to everyone that recieves a bill detailing your calls.

If you go to any retail store they give you a detailed reciept showing each item you have purchased BUT Verizon feels it necessary to charge for this 'bill'.

If you call them they will say it lowers our cost of doing business......how 'bout this verizon....W.O.R.K.  for new customers OR do cost cutting measures WITHIN the domain of your company and NOT on the backs of your customers through FEES.

We know what happened when BofA announced 'new' fees.

Somehow this has got to be illegal..............

Are you saying they charge you for a receipt, or is this like going to the bank and asking for a printout of your activity?

Is there a link?
I hate Verizon, just dumped them last month, after 6 years.

Yes....that is what I am saying. Pass the word around because this the biggest rip-off I have EVER heard of. $1.99 ain't much for an individual but if you multiply it by customer head count....its big bucks. Its called a 'detailed' report.

Pass the word around. Lets see where this goes.

I do not have a link but call them and ask. They will tell you what I have said.

I was also told yesterday this is their way of 'forcing' you to the internet.

Ain't happening...........

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about this a little over a month ago.
If I'm not mistaken, there might be a class action law suit over this, and their pricing structure.
you should look it up.

What I found had to do with 'data' charges not 'detailed' bill. Unless you know something else and can point me in that direction.

If I come across it, I'll post it.
