This really does explain why Milton Friedman was the standard bearer of free market principles.
Here are 10 inarguable truths by Friedman.

Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.
Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.
Governments never learn. Only people learn.
There's no such thing as a free lunch.
Hell hath no fury like a bureaucrat scorned.
The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem.
Nobody spends somebody else's money as carefully as he spends his own.
Concentrated power is not rendered harmless by the good intentions of those who create it.
Many people want the government to protect the consumer. A much more urgent problem is to protect the consumer from the government.
I am in favor of cutting taxes under any circumstances and for any excuse, for any reason, whenever it's possible.

Politicians in Washington hate these premises. They are so true and never lose their value.

I find it interesting you never hear a politician referring to Friedman. This is to be expected from democrats, but the faux GOP pols never mention it either.

The GOP probably despise Friedman because he was an admirer of Reagan's Supply Side Economics, (Reganomics), as the left refer to it.
It works, and they hate that, because it doesn't allow for the endless printing of money, it despises inflation.
