Pretty much. I guess it's useful for keeping in touch with family and close friends who live far away, but most people aren't responsible enough to watch what they post.

More businesses are screeing potential employees through what they post.
That's why I like the program called Discuss, when you come across an article with Discuss, you can post instantly, but when all they offer are those social networking BS progs, the world can follow you right back to your home.
And like you say, a business or Gov entity that want's to know all about you, they have only to open facebook.

ST uses it, but I hate the POS, too easy to fraud someone using info. you've posted, or your friends post, even if you don't.

That is easily turned around to an employees advantage. I post on FB. If I ever found that an employer was snooping on my FB page, it would be bye-bye.  If I found that a potential employer was snooping, I'd cut off the process then and there.

The bright side to the issue is that there are jobs posted on various FB pages. It's not like LinkedIn, but I do know people who have gotten their foot in the door because they picked up on a link on FB.

Hmm...  My understanding they ask you for your accounts and passwords.

Can I ask them about their sex life in exchange for that info?

Turn about is fair play!

Only if you think that will help you get hired.   :tounge:

Don't have a facebook account and never will..

The investors MUST hang on to the stock for 3 months.....so in 3 months time we will see millionaires go bust and perhaps hopefully billionaires.

I don't think the eastcoasters saw this because of the time but while in Ca the CBS morning show was interviewing Govna Jerry Brown and he claimed that facebook was invented in Ca and Charlie Rose immediately corrected him and said it was invented in Mass.

Jerry Brown said 'well...it doesn't matter. They are here now.' And JB went on to say that Ca is like the wild west with entreprenurers. Maybe so but the men from the wild west wouldn't put up with the stuff I saw while there....LOL!

Ca is a great place to visit.

Solar.....good luck with Prop 29. They are going to cost a bunch of people with increased taxes.
I thought I was wrong one time but I was mistaken.

Didn't take long for the kiddies to lose their parents money.

Facebook shares fell more than 13 percent, falling below its $38 price of its initial public offering, in the social network's second day of trading as a public company.

Only an idiot would but into the hype, and Facebook is full of them, just read their posts.
