What I like most about the turbo Cummins, is the constant power/torque range up to around 90Mph when it starts topping out.
From the moment you floor it, it sets you back throughout the shift process.
I can load up the bed with a couple of thousand lbs, and the only difference, is it rides smoother, but the pull stays the same.
I tend to carry 500 Lbs of stuff in the back, just to keep it more comfortable to ride in.
She let me take it to the Home Improvement store for a couple of parts last night.
Noticed at 2500 miles, the fuel economy is steadily improving from 17 to 18mpg...  I still cannot get over the low end power/torque compared to the V6 & V8 Gas Trucks I've been driving.  Unlike the Gas trucks, the engine doesn't rev way up into the "maximum torque range" 4000rpm, when under a load, climbing a hill - it just "does it", well under 2000rpms.

We just had it undercoated and rust proofed, the idea is to keep it a long time.  No noticeable difference in noise, pretty quiet inside to start with... but, if we take it to Outer Banks for fishing, a little more protection from the salt air/water, always helps.
All animals are created equal; Some just take longer to cook.   Survival is keeping an eye on those around you...

I spent the extra and had the bed coated by Line-X as well as the underbed and fender wells for soundproofing. Rust isn't an issue in my part of the country.

I don't know if they stuck that catalytic converter on your truck or not, but mine will load up if I baby the truck, eg. stretch mileage.
What happens is it gives an error message and goes into limp mode, max, 25MPH, luckily the last time it happened I was going down a mountain and managed to clear the clog and it recovered.
Like I say, drive it like you stole it, it's a Cummins, a million mile engine designed for punishment and your mileage won't differ all that much in the long run.
The dealer will reset the computer while under warranty, but Dodge told me, it could cost as much as 15 hundred if it goes into Alzheimers mode because you babied it.
It was Dodge that told me to 'Drive it like you stole it".

I'll have to tell Wifey to start driving it like she was 20...

We got the factory spray in bed liner, looks nice.  We added one of these:

Teenage boys had it completely installed in about 1hr.  Solid, looks nice, seals good and gets completely out of the way without removal.

I had one on another truck several years back. I have no idea when it happened, but someone literally stole the whole thing off the back of my truck.
Mileage decreased a bit without it, but truth is, it was kind of nice having it off and my dogs were tickled they could ride back there again.
Though I did miss being able to lock stuff in the back, out of sight, out of mind to thieves.
Oh, and the truck was much quieter with it in, which is why I came to notice it missing, the truck was oddly louder suddenly.

This one is pretty quiet to begin with, until the windows are opened!  I'd like to add more insulation, maybe the doors and headliner to finish it off.  If we put an antenna thru the roof, I'll add fiberglass to the headliner while I have it down.  Spring project.  I hate driving down the road, and suddenly a HUGE spider descends from the headliner, right in front of you.... after you kill it, and deal with the yellow windshield blotch, then you wonder, "What the hell was that bastard eating to get so damn BIG???   Does it have babies...?  that itch on my leg, was that a bite?"
