(Reuters) - Google's Motorola Mobility unit is to shed another 1,200 jobs or 10 percent of its workforce as the smartphone maker tries to return to profitability, Google said on Friday.

The lay-offs come on top of the 4,000 jobs cut at Motorola Mobility in August

I work for a small company and I am really happy about that.  At Motorola the employee is just a number on the books.  That is why we started calling the personel manager a human resources manager.  A human resouce could be the bath room down the hall.  I hope the people being laid off are alble to find other jobs.
