I believe the free market would determine if there are too many cars for hire on NY streets. In the article it is pointed out reducing the number of these ride opportunities would hurt the under served. Once again liberals hit the folks they say they are for.
Clean up the subway, make the price reasonable, and maybe people will take public transportation.
Other than that, people need transportation, whether it's real taxi's or the pretend ones's.
