Marxism is a brilliant system, IF you've got the German taxpayers to pick up the tab for you.  Otherwise it is ruinous.

Every German craftsman must work an extra hour each day to pay for the lavish lifestyle that this greasy little man flaunts in the name of Karl Marx:

Here I explode the web of lies that Yanis Varoufakis has spun to justify bringing Karl Marx back from the dead at this late date, over a century after his theory was shattered by Böhm-Bawerk:

Review of Varoufakis and Arnsperger

Why do the German workers allow this Marxist's lies to go unanswered?  Don't they have any pride?  Or are they just stupid and don't know how to respond?

It's not just in Germany where the Marxists are trying to raise Karl from the dead.  This country is full of them.  Too bad they don't read about the man himself.  He was an elitist academic and naval gazer.  I don't know if he ever really worked and died stateless.

FYI Varoufakis is the Greek finance minister.

It's a PDF file on a university website.

Just hold your cursor over it and you'll see it's the University of Fribourg and the file ends in .pdf

QuoteNow, don't think you have me in a bind today. I'm not talking about communism. What I'm talking about is far beyond communism. My inspiration didn't come from Karl Marx; my inspiration didn't come from Engels; my inspiration didn't come from Trotsky; my inspiration didn't come from Lenin. Yes, I read Communist Manifesto and Das Kapital a long time ago, and I saw that maybe Marx didn't follow Hegel enough.  He took his dialectics, but he left out his idealism and his spiritualism. And he went over to a German philosopher by the name of Feuerbach, and took his materialism and made it into a system that he called "dialectical materialism."  I have to reject that.

What I'm saying to you this morning is communism forgets that life is individual. Capitalism forgets that life is social. And the kingdom of brotherhood is found neither in the thesis of communism nor the antithesis of capitalism, but in a higher synthesis.  It is found in a higher synthesis  that combines the truths of both. Now, when I say questioning the whole society, it means ultimately coming to see that the problem of racism, the problem of economic exploitation, and the problem of war are all tied together. These are the triple evils that are interrelated.

And if you will let me be a preacher just a little bit. One night, a juror came to Jesus and he wanted to know what he could do to be saved. Jesus didn't get bogged down on the kind of isolated approach of what you shouldn't do. Jesus didn't say, "Now Nicodemus, you must stop lying."  He didn't say, "Nicodemus, now you must not commit adultery." He didn't say, "Now Nicodemus, you must stop cheating if you are doing that." He didn't say, "Nicodemus, you must stop drinking liquor if you are doing that excessively." He said something altogether different, because Jesus realized something basic: that if a man will lie, he will steal. And if a man will steal, he will kill. So instead of just getting bogged down on one thing, Jesus looked at him and said, "Nicodemus, you must be born again."

In other words, "Your whole structure  must be changed." A nation that will keep people in slavery for 244 years will "thingify" them and make them things.  And therefore, they will exploit them and poor people generally economically. And a nation that will exploit economically will have to have foreign investments and everything else, and it will have to use its military might to protect them. All of these problems are tied together.

What I'm saying today is that we must go from this convention and say, "America, you must be born again!"

That has nothing to do with Varoufakis.

I don't know the German finance minister from the Greek one.   Your reference led me to think you were posting about Germans.

Perhaps reviewing the History of Economics from 1974 to 2014 might help?

What lies are you talking about? The facts which everyone is talking about and has been answered?

The Germans benefit from the Euro and the European Union, the weak economies of the Euro make the Germans more competitive on the world market, and the Germans national character is one of pride and hard work. So it is a win-win as long as the system doesn't collapse, which is what Greece is now threatening.

As a Norwegian I have more cause to complain, I pay taxes to the ECB which then goes and gives it to the Greek people so they can continue their unearned filthy way of living without any of the benefits that the Germans get.
