What lies are you talking about? The facts which everyone is talking about and has been answered?

The Germans benefit from the Euro and the European Union, the weak economies of the Euro make the Germans more competitive on the world market, and the Germans national character is one of pride and hard work. So it is a win-win as long as the system doesn't collapse, which is what Greece is now threatening.

As a Norwegian I have more cause to complain, I pay taxes to the ECB which then goes and gives it to the Greek people so they can continue their unearned filthy way of living without any of the benefits that the Germans get.

The Greeks are out of money.  The Europeans want them to take a loan in exchange for more austerity.

What does austerity mean in Europe?
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

Their debt is already 180% of their GDP.

I guess they can't print money like Obama does.

Austerity sounds like the Federal reserve policy during the bank runs in 1930 of deflation or reducing people's living standard for the benefit of the banks. But it just means don't deficit spend indefinitely.

In Europe it goes like this; The Right Wing wins an election and begins austerity, but people want free stuff so they vote in the left wing that starts to deficit spend. This continues until the people start to suffer under inflation, regulation or unemployment to the point of where they are fed up and vote back in the Right Wing to fix the problem. Give it 4-8 years they fix it and then the people vote the Left wing back in again to get once again free shit so they ride the wave of economic growth the Right wing has created until they once again destroy it and then the cycle repeats itself. But the Greeks are so lazy or stupid they just want the free stuff without a period of austerity to enable a new round of deficit spending.

The ECB can print money like Obama does, but if does so at the cost of all other nations in the EU and countries such as mine that pay obligatory taxes to the ECB.

FYI  It is not nice puts something out with an address that does a download on your very first post.  I stopped it at 2 M's. as I have no idea of what it was downloading.    it may be harmless, but again your a first time poster.  We have no background on you as of to date.
Walks it could be you, that posted the link. If just visiting the site, starts a download. It's more than likely either spyware, or malware, or both!

So no offense but it could be you that makes the post. I"m not visiting a site like that. Or allowing a download like that either.

No offense taken young man.

The poster said it was a PDF download.  My system blocks spyware and malware both. I also run a full system scan on shut down every night.  In the last week my system has block 2 spyware, 3 malware, 15 Pop ups and over 300 ads.  It even blocks the P M pop up notifications for this board unless I ok it.

I can see how the Germans "benefit" from socialism. Along with Sweden.

I noticed you wasted no time painting yourself a victim.

My only question is what is a socialist such as yourself is doing on a Conservative Forum.

As you spend more time here you will see that Mountainshield is a conservative trying to survive the Norwegian system.

You only have 18 posts.  Mountainshield has 1815 posts you should read them. You will find he is not a socialist.

I made my reply from information I had available.

As far as me having only 18 posts.... I try to only post when I have something relevant to say. I don't find the number of posts reflects the quality of the poster, only what they have said.

That being said I will take you up on your challenge and read some of Mountainshield's old posts.

I don't find conservative values being presented in these two sentences which is why I made the comment.

The Germans benefit from the Euro and the European Union,

I don't find any benefit in the European Union. I see the whole European Union as nothing but a massive attempt to "redistribute wealth".

He even stated so in his own post.

As a Norwegian I have more cause to complain, I pay taxes to the ECB which then goes and gives it to the Greek people so they can continue their unearned filthy way of living without any of the benefits that the Germans get.

Taking those comments into account do you still think my response (taking into account my unfamiliarity with Mountainshield's past post) was off base?

Yes, essentially you took them out of context, or rather put them into a context not intended.
He never stated he was for the EU, rather that Germany benefited from the Union, which is why Merkle is teniously holding it all together. "Win win" for Merkel and Germany, no one else.
Fact is, she's a freakin socialist and about to be booted from office. But that's another subject, that the EU needs to collapse.
MS stated his taxes go to keeping Greece afloat, something he resents, which is by result, the overreach of the EU/Germany.

So how does one deduce from what he said, to that of a socialist supporter?
