Was Colt in that much financial trouble that they sold out for $220 million. IMO...that sound cheat for an American icon firearm company.

Iconic American gun maker Colt sold to Czech firm

A Czech firearms company has reached a deal to buy Colt, the iconic American gunmaker that helped popularize the revolver.

Česká zbrojovka Group said it will acquire all of Colt’s business for $220 million and about 1.1 million new shares of the Czech firm’s stock.

The deal announced Thursday will help Česká zbrojovka, also known as CZG, expand its global customer base as well as its production capacity in the US and Canada, the company says.

These are hard times for gunsmiths.

Colt sold, Remington went through bankruptcy. No news from Browning for years. The Pentagon has already warned Barrett to end military orders.

The people of the United States are facing total confiscation of their firearms.

Soon the penknife will be banned, as in London.

As for Cech, they have always had strong arms factories. They made rifles and machine guns for Germany and for the countries of the "Warsaw Pact", too. Weapons with the CZ brand could be trusted.

But to whom they will sell these weapons if we are prohibited from buying and keeping weapons...
