How Obama's Recovery Compares to Reagan's Recovery

Stephen Moore & Joel Griffith

Here's some advice to the White House: it might be time for President Obama to cancel the rest of his economic "mission accomplished" tour and help figure out how to get the U.S. growing again.

The Department of Commerce delivered the miserable news Wednesday morning that economic growth nearly ground to a halt during the first quarter, up a microscopic 0.2 percent. Even more disturbing, because the population is growing at about 0.8 percent, real per capita GDP is actually negative. Remember we also had an abysmal jobs growth number for March.

Once again economists blamed the frigid and blizzard conditions on the East Coast; and no doubt weather was a factor in the subpar performance.

But this is a long-term pattern under Obama, not a seasonal blip. Back in 2009, Vice President Biden promised us a "Summer of Recovery" and nearly six years later we are all still eagerly waiting for it.

We have a long wait!

Obama's 'growth' policies "almost without exception, costly and counterproductive.", which will continue under another socialist in the WH. Bernie Sanders proposes a $1 Trillion spending program that will just increase the deficit  and do nothing for the economy.

The famous War on Poverty program, started by LBJ, has spent more than $22 Trillion over the last 50 years and has resulted in the same poverty levels as 1967 when the program started (1).

It should be fairly obvious that throwing more good money after bad is not the answer getting the economy moving in the positive direction. All more government spending will do is continue the dependency on the government, which is the goal of the socialist scum running this country.

When it comes to the economy democrats are the poster children for the definition of insanity.
"If you can't run with the big dawgs, stay on the porch!"

Insanity yes, however, the uninformed welfare society only cares about their next government check. As long as the checks keep coming, they'll continue to elect people that will ensure a steady flow of monthly cash and benefits from the working tax payer. But when the checks stop, Baltimore and Ferguson will look like a church picnic.

According to hotel magnate Steve Wynn any claim of an economic recovery under Obama is a total lie.

I, along with many economists know for a fact that this is the worst depression in US history.
If not for food stamps, welfare, and the ability of printing endless amounts of Fiat money, we'd have seen the reality of the damage inflicted upon this great nation.

Had both party's bitten the bullet on TARP, and never passed it, there would have been a natural process of a downturn in our economy, a quick and painful realignment of structure, but the Establishment of both party's feared public backlash, so to save their own asses, they sold out our economy for their own selfish reasons.

It was the day McCon stood up and said TARP is something we must do to save the economy.
That was the day he became the enemy of the people, the day he lied and claimed that what they were doing was for the country, which in truth was the complete opposite, it was to bail out their political asses at the expense of this great Nation.
It also ushered in the Marxist, because the base majority of this Nation refused to support such a scum bag as POTUS, so much so, they were willing to let a Marxist take the reigns.
