Record-Low 12% Cite Economic Issues as Top U.S. Problem

A record-low 12% of Americans currently cite some aspect of the economy as the most important problem facing the U.S., down from 17% last month and one percentage point below the previous low of 13% recorded in May 1999. Mentions of the economy as the top problem reached 86% in February 2009, the highest in recent decades.

Just goes to show the left-leaning policies do more damage to the economy then they do good.

Yep
And Trump is nowhere done.

President Trump Slaps China With Additional $200 Billion Tariffs

White House says it has made it very clear what the U.S. expects from China regarding trade, but since the country has not complied the president slapped Beijing with more tariffs.

In a statement Monday, $200 billion in additional tariffs were announced and will go into effect September 24.

The tariffs will be 10 percent until the end of the year then go to 25 percent to allow businesses to adjust.

Its the latest move by the administration to punish china for not complying with fair trade practices.

The president says he’s under no pressure to make a deal with China, but rather China is under pressure to make a deal with the U.S.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross: China is 'out of bullets' to retaliate against Trump's new tariffs

In response Tuesday morning, Reuters reports that China said it will institute tariffs on U.S. goods worth $60 billion on Sept. 24.

Ross said on "Squawk Box," regarding the expected move, that China is "out of bullets" to retaliate because its imports to the U.S. are nearly four times larger than the U.S. exports to China.

"If China takes retaliatory action against our farmers or other industries, we will immediately pursue phase three, which is tariffs on approximately $267 billion of additional imports," Trump said in a statement.

If "phase three" were to be implemented, on top of Monday's announced $200 billion in tariffs and the $50 billion already in place, all Chinese imports would be affected.

According to federal data, the U.S. imported more than $505 billion worth of goods from China last year.

The White House on Monday did remove about 300 goods from a previously proposed list of affected products, including smart watches, some chemicals, bicycle helmets and high chairs.

The tariffs were not "shot from the hip," Ross told CNBC.

"We went item by item, trying to figure out what would accomplish the punitive purpose on China and yet with the least disruption in the U.S.," he said, adding he only sees a minimal increase in inflation.

"Nobody is going to actually notice [prices hikes] at the end of the day," he said, because they will be "spread across thousands and thousands of products."

China is reviewing plans to send a delegation to Washington for trade talks, the South China Morning Post reported on Tuesday, citing a government source in Beijing.

If the socialist democrats get their way, they'll turn this country into the next iteration of Venezuela.

For decades the left claimed Reaganomics didn't work, a concept first applied by JFK, and here we are again, with Trump proving the concept of capitalism works.
The lefts heads are exploding.

Sadly, the American voter (the stupid ones) see the word 'free' and are all in. It never enters their feeble minds that someone has to pay! An example is the 'free' HC proposed by the socialists, all $36T of it. No one has a clue how the hell the bills get paid. Hint: Tax the living shit out of Americans. I'm concerned that if the socialists get control of CONgress, we are screwed!

Latest stats show that nearly 30% of the population was born after 911.
The Dims may, in a few decades regain power, but the party won't look anything like it does today.
Two schools of thought say it will either be full blown commie, or turn Libertarian. I'm guessing they'll own Marxism.

Hopefully I'll be in my burial urn before they gain total power.
