Is that a shock? It shouldn't be to anyone that follows the news on insurance companies that are bailing out of ACA because they are losing millions. The democrats insane ACA plan to control HC costs and lower premiums is failing, which should give us cause to think about what the two nominees have in store for us if they are elected President.

QuoteLast Obamacare provider in Alabama announces 39% average rate hike for 2017
BY JOHN SEXTON

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama is the last remaining company offering individual plans on the Obamacare exchange in the state. Today it announced proposed premium increases for 2017 that average 39 percent. AL.com reports:

The proposed rate hikes will affect more than 160,000 people in Alabama who purchase insurance through the federal exchange, or about 5 percent of Blue Cross membership.

Rate increases range from 26 to 41 percent, depending on the type of plan. Proposed increases are lowest for bronze plans, which offer the least amount of coverage, and greatest for the most popular silver plans.

Blue Cross is the only insurance company that will offer Alabamians individual insurance plans through the exchange next year after the departure of Humana and UnitedHealth.

If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.
If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan.
You will save 2.500$ a year.

Lies, lies and more lies.

It was never the intention of the democrats to do what you mentioned. They knew that it was impossible, but their ultimate goal was single payer insurance. If Clinton is elected, that's what we can expect.

Colorado has an initiative on the ballot this November to go to single payer HC insurance.

QuoteColoradoCare could come up billions of dollars short, independent analysis finds
Increasing health care costs could test ballot measure for universal health care

By   JOHN INGOLD

ColoradoCare is on the ballot as Amendment 69. It would replace most private health insurance in the state — including Colorado's Obamacare exchange — with universal coverage overseen by an elected 21-member board. Payroll taxes on workers and companies would raise the money to fund the program. People could opt to keep private insurance, but they would still have to pay the taxes.

Hopefully, this initiative will be defeated in November.

If this exodus keeps up, ACA should implode before the end of the year. Single payer next in line?

Citing Losses, Aetna Withdraws from Most Obamacare Markets
BY MICHAEL WALSH

n a major blow to Obamacare, one of America's largest health insurers said it was pulling out of most of the markets in which it was participating, citing huge losses in the past quarter.
In a statement Monday, Aetna reported that it lost $200 million in the second quarter of 2016 in Obamacare marketplaces and as a result would participate next year in just four states: Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska and Virginia. This year, Aetna was offering health insurance plans in 15 states' Obamacare markets, and its reduction mirrors moves by several other major health insurance providers in recent months.

"As a strong supporter of public exchanges as a means to meet the needs of the uninsured, we regret having to make this decision," Aetna CEO Mark Bertolini said.

Did the public actually believe that any insurance would absorb the losses incurred by ACA? Apparently the public does believe that businesses will do stupid stuff like that. Look at the public reaction to $15/hr minimum wage! No difference between the two. The consumer loses.
