I love how the media tries to analyze this situation, like its something deep, requiring "expert opinion"...  The truth is that its very simple:  You can't violate the natural laws of economics anymore than you can violate the laws of Physics...  If you choose the adolescent world of Communist economics, the bill will come due one day...

Greece's bill has come due and they have neither the means nor the will to deal with it...  IOW they believe the EU will bail them out or they aren't hungry enough yet...

The masses did not want austerity, so they'll soon suffer the consequences - as will this country if the free spending continues.

BTW welcome aboard!

Thanks Bro...  Glad to have found this place...  Imagine my surprise to find a "Tac" here...

This is what happens when bad behavior is enabled. Why change behavior if the consequences never come?

Surprise surprise the narrative of the left here in Europe now is that Greece has the debt problem because of capitalism and corporatism. Yes you see corporations and private business owners are not paying their fair share and that is why they in such debt, not because of bloated public sector with lavish pension age but because of capitalism...

Edit: Ok they are blaming all normal working citizens now for not paying taxes as the main problem. If you tax the people enough the economy will fix itself according to left wing theory, lets see how that works out

I find if you stop filling the bird feeder, the birds will feed themselves.  Also you will not have to clean the bird dropping off your railing everyday.  People are like that in a way.

It's funny how many People get work if you cut their welfare.

Quote"The trending hashtag ThisIsACoup is exactly right. This goes beyond harsh into pure vindictiveness, complete destruction of national sovereignty, and no hope of relief. It is, presumably, meant to be an offer Greece can't accept; but even so, it's a grotesque betrayal of everything the European project was supposed to stand for." - Paul krugman

 The European Project was never supposed to have Northern Europe subsidize the welfare and bureaucracies of Southern Europe, and Schengen was never meant for illegal immigrants.
