Gold has risen quickly and significantly over the past few days. I am not an alarmist, but my memory tells me this is not a good omen for the near future. Some of us remember the late 70's when gold spiked and what happened the bottom fell out.

I saw this as well, and from what I know of the Mkt, this doesn't ring true. Nothing in the Mkt signified disruption, up or down, yet precious metals spike?
I would say follow the money, think China, Soros, Iran, what did they do to trigger this?
