My pick is:  United States Department of the Interior, which encompasses some real winners.

Bureau of Indian Affairs - (what is this for?  Didn't we force them onto the Reservation a century ago?)
Bureau of Land Management - (give it all back to the states, the Fed should not own LAND)
Bureau of Ocean Energy Management - (must be a "cherry" job!)
Bureau of Reclamation - (give it to the states)
Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (nothing like some out-of-towner telling you how to do things - give it to the states)
Fish and Wildlife Service - (give it all back to the states, they don't need overlapping services)
National Park Service - (give it all back to the states, the Fed should not own LAND)
Office of Insular Affairs - (so... we need something to encompass everything that was missed...?)
Office of Surface Mining - (give it to the states)
National Mine Map Repository - (put it online, and close down the department)
United States Geological Survey - (Google did a better job of it in 10 years than the Fed in 100, put it online and close the dept)

Let the STATES manage the land within their borders.  They can do it cheaper and at a profit!

He said you could only check 10 of them.

Where are the other 30 or so.  There are like all government Departments, each one has departments within departments.

Yeah, and to think, we had a dept of War, and in truth, that was it and managed to become the strongest nation in history of civilization, now we have roughly 300 mini bureaucracies and none of them necessary.

Yeah told me I checked too many too. That said though, a few of the "options" are Constitutionally created. Like the Secretary of State and Department of defense. So I took them off and it let me vote.

Federal Aid to Education is unconstitutional. Cut it off at the knees. Oh, wait, Saint Ronnie was going to do that along with the Dept of Energy.

Let's by all means chop the Dept of Homeland Security in the ass. It started under Bush 2 as a make work project for Tom Ridge. Two useless POS.

I'd be happy if each department's funding was cut in half.   Or, cut out half of the sub-departments... and half the budget.

It will not happen voluntarily. It will take a default by the government, and the grief that will cause will be astronomical.

If we did privatize all the Federal Land, who would get it? A little bit to each citizen?

The states never had it in the first place, except maybe the thirteen colonies.

Which ever entity that pays the most. The US government owns too much land that could be generating revenue in private hands.

Excellent idea. The states would manage the situation much better than the feds.
