Sounds pretty vague, right? Well not really, take Ca for example, they care nothing for industry, that's why they're running it off.
Now a small family owned farm in Northern Ca established 40 years ago is being forced out of business, all in the name of the environment.
Folks, this has to be the poster child of shooting oneself in the foot.

Early this year, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar refused to renew the farm's lease in the national park, saying the waters of Drakes Estero should return to wilderness.

Barring an injunction, Lunny will have until March 15 to vacate the premises the farm has occupied for forty years.
play

Lunny has warned that if the injunction is not granted by the U.S. 9th Circuit, oyster prices in California could quickly rise. Lunny has been quoted as saying his farm accounts for roughly 40% of commercial oyster production in the state.

Just another reason the feds do not need to be in the property ownership business. Pay down the debt by selling all property not being utilized, incuding national parks. I gurantee Disney could do a better job of running them and tax revenues would increase. While I am ranting about this I also believe states should have the final say in whether their resources are harvested or not. If CA does not want access its oil and gas reserves, that is fine with me. However, some states might desire to harvest those resources. Sorry for the rant, but stuff like this drives me nuts.

Couldn't agree more.
It's time to rewrite the rules of Federal land (our land) not the Govts.
We are a Capitalist Nation, but to see crap like this, one would believe we are nothing more than a socialist empty shell.

That is because most dem's don't work.  It is the Obama and democractic party's plan to let the goverment take care of all of us.  They just keep forgetting that the tax payer base is shrinking so they have less money.  No money, no consumers, no job, it is really simple.
The Golden Rule is the only rule we need.
