You know, if I was one of those crazy right wing conspiracy people, I'd say that the Obama administration is slapping fines on the companies, simply to make it look, (to the American people), like they're cracking down. I'd also say, that the companies are happily paying the fines, because they know, that in his second term, Obama will implement a national cap and tax on carbon emissions.......................with them in charge, and making billions.

But that's just crazy talk..............................that could never be true.

Nope. But it doesn't matter. The fines are peanuts compared to what they'll make from cap and trade. Why else would they contribute heavily to the administration that's supposedly going after them? It doesn't compute.

But were not dealing in actual law where this administration is concerned.
In reality, no matter the amount of the fine, it will not really be paid, it will be offset in another way, much in the way GE never paid ant taxes.

I said where did you hear that crap? He said CBS, I said jeez, you really need to check out Drudge, he dispelled that myth a long time ago.

He died just recently, and was a die hard Dim.
Give it ten years and the networks will be lucky to pull 10 thousand viewers a night.

Remember the screaming and yelling about Cheney and Halliburton, during the Gulf war? I think it was on the news almost every night.............................along with the daily body count from Bush's war.

Well, I looked into the allegations. I'm sure Cheney made some money. All of the politicians are into making money, but the bottom line is, there was an above board, open bidding process for that contract.............no funny business. Halliburton was the only outfit that was massive enough, and had the resources to fulfill the logistical needs of feeding all of those troops, along with whatever else they did.

By contrast, what Obama and his buddies have planned, (including Al Gore), is full blown and sustained rape of this country. Mark my words, if he gets a second term, the carbon exchange, (which is already happening in CA), will be nationalized and rammed down our throats. They will be skimming billions directly out of the American economy.
