To a point I agree, but if certain aspects of the mkt are more appealing, the impact of the two aforementioned will not play as big a role in stifling our recovery.
Granted it was the leech on the back of our financial system, but it was a symbiotic relation, one that was tolerated.
It wasn't until Husein and his cohorts messed with the system that it showed it's true destructive nature.

we're not together yet Solar - it was the "R"s who prostituted the Glass-Steagall Act in the 80's and 90's, then Dodd-Frank gave complete surrender to the international banking mob in 2009 ...

in my opine, one of the very few things FDR got right was Glass-Steagall, and with that in place it would be more realistic to return to a gold/silver standard - si ?
