Full title.........................BREAKING NEWS: Partridge Family star David Cassidy, 67, is placed in an 'induced coma with multiple organ failure' and his family is told to 'prepare for the worst' nine months after revealing he had dementia...............................

The actor and singer, 67, was taken to a hospital in Florida three days ago.

He is believed to have been in failing health for the last two months.
His family is said to be gathered at his bedside and are preparing for the worst.

Cassidy is widely known for his starring role as Keith Partridge on the 1970s series The Partridge Family.

In February, the actor revealed he had been battling dementia for two years.
He made the shocking announcement after he fell on stage during a concert.

Troubles in his personal life, including arrests and a stint in rehab, have been well-documented in recent years.

Hmmm, that really is sad. As much as the media beat up on the guy, he really was a very talented guy.
I always liked his work, may he rest in peace now.

The Partridge Family is definitely a marker in time for me.

They, along with their competitors the Cowsills and the Brady Bunch, were big right about when I was 10.

Every boy loved Susan Dey and Suzie Cowsill and Marsha Brady.  Every girl loved David Cassidy and a few of those Cowsill guys, and Greg Brady.  Bobby Sherman was another guy for the girls, at that time.  I got to see all that through my sister and her fan magazines.

It's funny, today all the kids this age aspire to be androgynous and pansexual, so you don't know who the hell likes whom.  lol.
