The Marin County Sheriff’s Office has just reported that actor Robin Williams is dead. The full press release from the coroner’s office:
Quote
On August 11, 2014, at approximately 11:55 am, Marin County Communications received a 9-1-1 telephone call reporting a male adult had been located unconscious and not breathing inside his residence in unincorporated Tiburon, CA. The Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Tiburon Fire Department and Southern Marin Fire Protection District were dispatched to the incident with emergency personnel arriving on scene at 12:00 pm. The male subject, pronounced deceased at 12:02 pm has been identified as Robin McLaurin Williams, a 63 year old resident of unincorporated Tiburon, CA.

... At this time, the Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made. A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.
Whatever else he was, Robin Williams was a talented comedian/actor. Very sad!

Could always make me laugh or cry. I didn’t stop to think how great he was until he was no more.
"Everything must have a purpose?" asked God. "Certainly," said man. "Then I leave it to you to think of one for all this," said God. And He went away.

What I would like to know is when did "asphyxiation" become the new PC way of saying hanging yourself.

Probably used a plastic bag over his head. It's the latest thing for losers (oxygen deprivation).
Kind of what causes libs at birth.

I might add, there's a much better way to go, and completely painless.

Take a king size pillow case, tie a large, very tight knot in it, position knot directly over the carotid artery, either hang your head in it, while it's attached to an upper bunk bed, or put a stick in it and twist it snug like a tourniquet.
It doesn't have to be so tight as to stop air flow, just enough to stop blood flow, you simply fall asleep.

And kids, don't try this at home, unless under adult supervision. Libs, do as you please, it's an amazing sleep aid, in fact, make it an event, invite all your friends that voted for the Marxist.
Have fun...

According to the Administration's Press, he hung himself with a belt.

OK, that was just stupid. But at least he didn't slash his wrists and leave it for someone to clean up.

Thanks for the update.

He was okay, screen-wise.  But his standups were way way where his talent thrived.

Comedy-club performances: unforgettable.
Movies/TV: not especially memorable to any degree.

And it's hard to respect suicide-choosers.
