I have been reading a lot of esoteric books lately, what strikes me is that liberty in the classical liberal definition is what permeates the philosophical foundation of this order regardless of theological beliefs. Individual freedom, right to property, freedom of movement and freedom of religion is common, even though they have their own theological foundation seperate from christianity.
What I dont understand though is at the same time the Order have members that are clearly classical liberals they also have many socialists/communists.
My own theory is that the order is not really philosophical at all, which seems like a oxymoron.
Anyone know or have a theory on it?
